The Southern District are grateful to Loreburn Bridge Club for hosting the District's 60th Congress. Loreburn's premises are in Howgate Street, situated near the River Nith and are a 5 minute walk from the centre of the Town. The building has been recently refurbished and its 2 bridge rooms are tastefully decorated with superb lighting and air conditioning throughout.

The District have appraoched the conveniently situated Edenbank Hotel for nearby accomodation. It is offering Bed and Breakfast at reduced rates.

  • Single Room @ £46.00 per night.

  • Twin Room @ £34.00 per person.

  • Double Room @ £34.00 per person.

  • A 3 Course Dinner for £12.95 is available each night.

  • For non-residents High Tea for £7.95 is available for Saturday night.

  • Sunday Lunch consisting of soup, sandwiches, cake and coffee is available for £5.00.

    BRIDGE EVENTS:

    The Garven Cup (teams of four) will be on Saturday commencing at 1.30 pm
    Cost 2 Sessions = £12.00 per team member.

    The Pairs will be played on Sunday starting at 10 am
    Cost 2 Sessions = £12.00 per person.

    Ladies & Gents Teams of 4 wiill be played on Friday evening starting at 7.00 pm Cost 1 session = £6.00 per person.

    All Bridge Events = £30.00.

    Finals of the Garven Cup and Congress Pairs are RED POINTED.

    Cheques should be made payable to the Southern District Bridge Congress.

    All applications to the Congress Administrator and entries should be in by the 20th February, 2010. As numbers are limited early booking is advisable.
