Secretary's Report – Letter received complaining about the Edwin Berry tournament – Archie Bouverie has taken on board about the timing of the food and players are not to bring food onto the premises.

Discussion about sending three delegates to a technology seminar to Rome. Possible delegates are John Wilson, David Liggat, Ian Ross, Joan Mercer, Liz McGowan.

Treasurer's Report – The Peebles Gold Cup Congress funds the European Teams. Finance Committee to put forward views as to where monies from the other congresses is to go.

BGB - Senior Camrose will be held in Oxford

Laws and Ethics – Charles Outred resigned. We were not informed as yet what happened at the Laws and Ethics Committee which prompted the resignation. Await minutes.

Master Points – The President gave the South and West (particularly South) into trouble for putting Red Points Awarded onto their brochure without fully giving an explanation as to the events which red points were being awarded. South advised President that it was an oversight and that all applications when acknowledged would be informed precisely what events (i.e. the final of the pairs and teams) the red points would be awarded. The southern district web page also gave a clear explanation of the red points.

Juniors – Problems with juniors. The captain needs a helper to go with junior teams as the captain cannot do it on his/her own. Report from Jim Power noted that Myles and Gyles Ellison were well behaved

Selection – Report by Mike Ash as to the selection process for trials etc. New formula sought by Mike Ash however David Liggat said cannot change rules of contest half way through the year. Once in brochure the rules should stand. Vote taken and contest rules stand for this year and Mike Ash to put forward proposed changes for consideration by Council. Districts to encourage players to take part in trial weekends.

Tournaments – Let Bill Ross know the original entry of the National Pairs so that he can work out the semis, final, etc.

AOCB – Update of SBU data base. Archie Bouverie wants to put forward a proposal to Council for next meeting to update the computer system showing all details of each member and entry into the data base by members.
